Margot J. Kennedy, widow of Norman F. Kennedy, born April 29, 1920, died Aug. 14, 2013, at age 93.

Survived by children, Gerald Kennedy, wife, Mary Ann, Rondi, and Raymond; 19 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Norman Kennedy retired in 1977, and was deceased in 2000.

 

James Larry Grant, born Jan. 29, 1938, died July 27, 2012, at age 75. He joined the Portland Police May 1, 1969 and retired May 1, 1993.

He is survived by his wife, Elaine.

 

Robert B. Benson, born Mar. 25, 1937, in Bend, died Aug. 15, 2013 at age 76

     He joined the Portland Police June 15, 1961, and retired Jan. 4, 1991 as a Detective. He followed in the footsteps of his dad, Roy Benson and his uncle, Roland Benson.

     He spent 33  years in the National Guard, attaining the rank of Lt. Col.

He is survived by his wife, Sharon; sons, Kirk Benson and Scott; step-children, Kimberly Marroquin, Diana Snow and James Brinsfield; sisters, Lynda Dickson, Janice Thompson and Margaret Benson- Dougan; three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leon

 

Donna J. Flye, wife of Macil L. “Mace” Flye, born Sept. 20, 1934 in Sunshine, Wyoming, died Aug. 18th, 2013 at age 78.

She was raised in Cody Wyoming, where she was the 1952 Rodeo Queen of the Cody Stampede. She married Mace Dec. 28, 1956.

She owned her own Aviculture business, and was involved with organizations such as Lents Citizens for Youth, Exchange Students, Refugees and healing the children. She also served as President of the Clinton Kelly Elementary School PTA.

She is survived by her husband, Macil; children, Cheryl, Robert, Michael and Shawn; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
