Astrid Griffin-O’Hara, born Dec. 18, 1921 in Portland, died April 24, 2013, at age 91. She attended Kennedy grade school and graduated from Jefferson High School in 1940. She married Fred Griffin April 8,1942. She was involved with Temple Baptist Church, and later attended Rivercrest Community Church.

Astrid worked as a bookkeeper in the retail industry for many years. In her free time she was a member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, and the Portland Retired Police and Widow’s Assn.

Astrid was preceded in death by her husbands, Fred Griffin and Ralph O’Hara. She is survived by her sons, Mike Griffin and Tom Griffin; sisters, Thelma Worden and Irene Cook; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

 

Elizabeth Althea Peterson, wife of Daniel Peterson, born April 23, 1955, died May 7, 2013 at age 58.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel; seven children, Daniel, H J, Rachel Wallace, Jesse P. Jacob E.; Maegan K. Adams; Joseph T. and Ariel J. Peterson; and 21 grandchildren.
