PPA Donates $1,000 in toys to the KGW Great Toy Drive

IMG_9085

On December 11th, Portland Police Association Members were out bright and early shopping at the Jantzen Beach Target to purchase $1,000 in toys for the KGW Great Toy Drive. Then, PPA President, Daryl Turner, made the deliver to Drew Carney in the KGW Toy Box.

For more than 30 years, the KGW Great Toy Drive has provided hundreds of thousands of toys to our community’s less fortunate families in Oregon and Southwest Washington. Toys are distributed with the help of more than 100 local nonprofit organizations and hundreds of dedicated volunteers. We are proud to partner with KGW to serve our community this Holiday Season.

PPA Works with Boys & Girls Clubs of Portland Metropolitan Area to Recognize 4 Outstanding Youth

IMG_9075The Portland Police Association worked with the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Portland Metropolitan Area to recognize 4 outstanding youth leaders within the Boys & Girls Club Organization. These youth leaders exemplify the the Boys & Girls Club mission to help those who need us most to become productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

It was an honor to surprise them each with some basic necessities along with an ipad. We know that these stars are going to go far and we’re here to cheer them on.
